Reproductive Mental Health

Clinic

Through Cardiff University Psychiatry Services (CUPS) we offer a second opinion on the risk, diagnosis and management of serious psychiatric disorders associated with women's reproductive events, such as the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, perimenopause and hormone therapy.

We also provide a second gender-friendly opinion on the diagnosis and management of bipolar disorder in women.

CUPS is a referral-only clinical service that draws on the world-leading clinical expertise at the university. This service is delivered jointly through Cardiff University and Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Accessing our services

We can only accept referrals from mental health teams involved in the ongoing care of the person being referred. Please note that we are unable to accept self-referrals.

If you would like a second opinion from the CUPS, then you will need to discuss this with your clinical team.

Please address referrals to one of our individual clinicians listed below.
