Meet Daisy, our unofficial mascot. A six-year-old Ragdoll, Daisy was bred for her striking beauty and entered into a breeding programme as a kitten. Bullied by other cats and overwhelmed by the pressures placed on her, she abandoned her own kittens and was eventually rescued; underweight, unwell, and struggling. Years of patient care later, she’s confident, healthy, and thriving. She even goes hunting now and then, though she’s far too gentle-hearted to ever catch anything. Daisy doesn’t represent our science, but she reminds us why it matters: recovery is possible, and every story of struggle can have a better chapter.
